Hello, my name is Nicolai.
I am the founder of PTLS® and a licensed psychologist with a professional background as a military ambulance squad leader and combat medic with frontline experience in Afghanistan.
PTLS® is an international, trademark-protected psychological trauma system that establishes a comprehensive standard for the management of psychological trauma—from the acute traumatic event to early processing and subsequent advanced professional treatment.
PTLS® functions as an overarching international doctrine and quality framework that integrates the latest scientific knowledge and well-documented best practices within general psychology, crisis psychology, and psychotraumatology into a single, coherent structure.
PTLS® is applied across civilian first responders, emergency services, healthcare systems, organizations, and leadership structures, and is built on the principle of standardization without simplification: a shared language, qualified algorithms, formalized certification, and governance.
PTLS® thereby provides a unifying framework that ensures continuity, quality, and sustainability in the psychological response from initial contact through to advanced intervention.
